A Sacred Journey of Purification and Renewal
Welcome to the Salt Bowl Ceremony, a profound and transformative experience designed to purify, renew, and restore balance within your body, mind, and spirit. This sacred ceremony uses the natural cleansing properties of salt to help you release negative energy, set powerful intentions, and invite positive change into your life.
What to Expect
The Salt Bowl Ceremony is a guided ritual that incorporates elements of meditation, intention setting, and communal sharing. Here’s what you can look forward to:
1. Opening Circle: We begin with an opening circle to create a sacred and supportive space. The talking stick is introduced and you will be invited to share a few words and connect with the group.
2. Guided Meditation: A soothing guided meditation helps you center yourself, clear your mind, and prepare for the ceremony.
3. Salt Bowl Ritual: You will receive a mini-bowl of salt, a symbol of purification and protection. Through a series of guided steps, you will use the salt to absorb negative energies and release them, making space for new, positive intentions.
4. Intention Setting with Herbs and Oils: After purifying your energy, you will select from the dried herbs and oils provided. As you blend these into your mini bowl of salt, you will set your personal intentions for growth, healing, or manifestation.
5. Communal Mother Bowl Ritual: Once everyone has set their intentions in their mini bowls, participants will take turns massaging their salt into the communal mother bowl while sharing their intentions with the group. This act unites our collective prayers, strengthening our bond as a community.
6. Closing Circle and Redistribution: We close the ceremony with expressions of gratitude. Mini bags of salt from the mother bowl will be redistributed for you to take home and activate on the next full moon, continuing the journey of intention and renewal.

Welcome to The Channels of Awareness, an introductory workshop designed to guide you through one of the three major components of somatic therapy. This workshop focuses on understanding and utilizing the channels of awareness to access, digest, and purge stuck survival energy within your system.
Understanding the Channels of Awareness
In somatic therapy, the channels of awareness are essential for processing "charge" or information. They are how we experience the world, constantly interacting with our environment. Understanding these channels is key to navigating and healing trauma.
What is Trauma?
Trauma is a breach in the energetic protective barrier of our being, caused by a deeply disturbing experience. It resides in the nervous system’s response to the event, not the event itself. When survival energy gets stuck and can't move out of the body, trauma occurs. This stuck energy traps us in time, creating a piece of our body that remains locked in that moment until we can be present with it in a safe and emotionally resourced environment.
Empowering Healing
Trauma is fully healable. Our bodies, psyches, and souls are designed to recover from trauma by bringing awareness to the areas where it's stored. By addressing these areas with love and safety in the present moment, we can heal even the deepest wounds.
Workshop Structure
The Channels of Awareness workshop is an informative introduction to embodiment, structured to help you understand and apply the five channels of awareness in your daily life.
- Learning About the Channels: We begin with an in-depth exploration of each of the five channels of awareness. As an experienced Somatic Therapist Educator and Facilitator, Kat will guide you through the theoretical foundations and practical implications of each channel.
- Practice of Noticing: Participants will then engage in exercises to notice which channels are functioning at any given moment. By bringing mindful attention to your experiences, you can become more aware of how these channels influence your perception and reactions.
- Being Present with What Is Alive: The final part of the workshop focuses on the practice of being with what is alive in the present moment.
