💚 What It Means to Be a Co-Conspirator (Not Just an Ally) 💚

Allyship is a beginning,

and co-conspiratorship is where the work gets real.

Being an ally often lives in language.

Being a co-conspirator lives in action.

Allyship says:

“I support you.”

(and yes—that matters)

Co-conspiratorship says:

“I will show up with you—loudly, visibly, and with something to lose.”

To be a co-conspirator means:

🦋 You’re not waiting to be educated—you’re doing the work.

🦋 You speak up even when it’s uncomfortable, especially when no one else does.

🦋 You leverage your privilege to open doors, redistribute power, and protect those targeted.

🦋 You take risks—not to be performative, but because your integrity demands it.

🦋 You don’t center your guilt or optics—you center the people most impacted.

🦋 You commit. You stay. You keep showing up.

To be a co-conspirator is to recognize that silence is a stance.

Neutrality is a privilege.

And transformation doesn’t happen from the sidelines.

You don’t have to have all the right words.

But you do need a brave heart.

You need to let love lead you into the fire—not away from it.

Because liberation is not a solo journey.

And those of us doing this work don’t need saviors.

We need co-creators of change.

Co-conspirators in justice.

Fierce, rooted companions willing to carry the load and shake the system.

So ask yourself—

Where do I have power?

Where can I risk comfort to protect someone else’s humanity?

Where can I get closer to the people instead of hiding behind the policy?

We don’t need perfect.

We need present.

We need plugged in.

We need you.

Because the revolution isn’t coming.

It’s already here.

And we build it side by side.
